I enjoyed this movie. Not only was it was entertaining, but the action scenes were well done and the Assassin fight scenes were phenomenal. I really loved watching those parts the most.

The best part is that you don't have to be all about the Assassin’s Creed video games to enjoy this movie. I took my mother with me and she'd never heard of the video game and she had a great time watching it.  For those that have played the game - sorry, I can't speak to how it translated to the big screen. But if it's anything like most book to movie adaptations, I can almost guarantee that there were changes. Hopefully they changes did the game justice.
Michael Fassbender is consistently good in this movie. He's seems to naturally fit into action films (ie. X-Men). Jeremy Irons does great in his villainous role as well. Marion Cotillard played a familiar feeling character, but she's does a fabulous job as expected. The soundtrack was strong and I thought it meshed well with the scenes. Now, what didn't I like? In my opinion, the run time was a tad too long. The story sort of had a slow start, but thankfully I found myself getting into the plot of the movie very quickly. The end of this movie was set up for a second installment, so if we actually get a second film, I'd like to see what the writers and directors do with it as the world building evolves further.

This is a good movie option to see if you're looking for action with fantasy aspects along with a historical setting (15th-century Spain) alternating with present day.  Don't get it twisted, it is fiction, so don't get all upset if it isn't historically accurate. Go into this film knowing that it's for entertainment and not a history lesson. You'll enjoy it much more.

Did you see Assassin’s Creed? If so, share what you thought about it. Did you play the game(s) and the movie? I'd love to hear your thoughts on how the movie did adapting the video game.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but I did see the trailer when I went to see some other movies. I wasn't sure what it was about and to be honest I found the trailer to be quite confusing. But I'm glad that in the end it was a good movie!
