BookTube Weekly Wrap Up #9

Hey friends,

I'm back with another BookTube weekly! I've been slacking with my video posting game lately, but I have some exciting videos that I'll be sharing in the upcoming weeks and months. Starting with a review and giveaway of After You, by Jojo Moyes that will be posted on Monday. Now that Fall is officially here (my favorite season by the way), I have lots more time indoors to get more done.

In the meantime, I've included below three videos that I enjoyed from fellow BookTubers. I hope you enjoy them as well!

Sara and Chami created a totally cheesy - yet totally BookTube relatable and very creative parody of Bad Blood by Taylor Swift.

Chami posted her version of the parody. It's slightly different from Sara's, so check it out!

BookTube Weekly Wrap Up #8

Hey friends,

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. It's a holiday weekend and a lot of us have 3 days off! I'm looking forward to it, but before I can get my weekend started I have a few tasks to complete, which consist of finishing a book I've been trying to read for weeks, write a few blog posts and record a few BookTube videos - then I have the entire weekend to relax!

This week I posted one video book review on my BookTube channel announcing the next Shelf Addiction online book club reads. We're going to start doing Google Hangouts book chats to discuss the selected books. If there are 4-10 people we'll do a video chat (that's the limit allowed on a video chat), if there are more than 10 participating, we'll do a Hangouts chat room. This will be totally private and by invite only, You've got to be a part of the group and RSVP for the event with your email address to participate.

Review | Red Rising (Red Rising Trilogy #1), by Pierce Brown (Audiobook)

I enjoyed the book and of course there were things that I liked and things that I didn't. I'd heard a ton of hype around this title and I can easily see why.
Angry protagonist? Check. Teens acting as adults? Check. Killing and deceit? Check. Throw in life on Mars for good measure and we have Red Rising. Watch my video review to get the complete scoop on what I thought of Red Rising.

Hey friends,

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. I'm leaving for my vacation on this upcoming Thursday and I'm pretty excited! I'll be going to Rome, Sorrento, and Capri! Review | Sharp Objects, by Gillian Flynn

Rating: 3 bookmarks

There were things that I enjoyed about the book and some things that I didn't. I'd heard a ton of awesome things about this title, but it fell a little flat for my taste. The story is indeed unique and the situation dark and twisted...as are all Flynn novels. Watch my video review to get the scoop on what I thought of Sharp Objects.

Review | World After (Penryn & the End of Days #2), by Susan Ee

The second book in this young adult fantasy/dystopian trilogy was wonderful. There were lots of things that I enjoyed about the book. The plot, the word building and characters were all on point. Watch my video review to find out why I recommend this title.
