4 years ago this month Tamara and Casey joined together to talk about books in one of their favorite genres, URBAN FANTASY!! It was the Mercy Thompson series that kicked off this long-running read-along on the Shelf Addiction podcast. You'll have to listen to this celebration episode to hear that fun back story! Soon after, Nicola joined them and they've been talking fantasy ever since! From adult to young adult, paranormal romance to urban fantasy, and more. They've read a huge variety of series. To help celebrate this milestone, they are giving away the first book in series for each of their favorites. Check out the giveaway details below. Listen to this episode and find out why they chose these three series to share with everyone!

I have a fun local giveaway for those of you in the Metro Detroit area! Enter to win this memoir and a pair of tickets to view the movie when it comes out. FIVE people will win! The movie tickets will be only valid Landmark Main Art Theatre in Royal Oak, MI. The film will be released in Detroit area theaters on November 16th.
Synopsis: As a young man Garrard Conley was terrified and conflicted about his sexuality, growing up the son of a Baptist pastor and deeply embedded in church life in small-town Arkansas. When Garrard was a nineteen-year-old college student, he was outed to his parents, and was forced to make a life-changing decision: either agree to attend a church-supported conversion therapy program that promised to "cure" him of homosexuality; or risk losing family, friends, and the God he had prayed to every day of his life. He was supposed to emerge heterosexual, ex-gay, cleansed of impure urges and, because of his brush with sin, stronger in his faith in God. Instead, when faced with a harrowing and brutal journey, Garrard found the strength and understanding to survive and step out from a life lived in shadow and to search for his true self, empathy, and forgiveness.
