I'm back from my Christmas break and ready to jump back into things on the Shelf Addiction blog. Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you all have fun plans for this evening. Whether it's reading your favorite book with a glass or two of wine or champagne, going to a party, watching the ball drop on TV, or reading. It's time to kiss goodbye to 2013 and have a great time bringing in 2014!!
While we are waiting for the New Year countdown to begin, check out the cover art gallery and video of my reading highs and lows of 2013. Please share with me some your book favorites and disappointments of 2013!

What about the 2013 reading challenges?
2013 Reading Challenge
Tamara has completed her goal of reading 62 books in 2013!
|
I set out to to read 52 books, but then when I reached that in early October I readjusted and changed the goal to 62 books. I finished with 72 books read with time to spare! No reading down to the wire this year. |
I also did excellently in my audio book challenge. My goal was to reach " Going Steady- Listen to 12 Audio Books", which I listened to double that. Big success!
1. The Lunatic Cafe (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter, #4)
2. Halfway to the Grave(Night Huntress, #1)
3. Bloody Bones (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #5)
4. Low Pressure
5. One Foot in the Grave(Night Huntress, #2
Regarding the sequel challenge, I really undershot this one. Seriously! My goal was 15, yet I read over 30 sequels. It's become obvious to me that I'm a series chick! I've included audiobooks, so you'll see some books repeated on this list. The official goal set by Jesse of Novel Heartbeat (Previously ASR) is "The goal: To read as many sequels as you can. You set your goal at whatever number works for you.", which I exceeded my expectations. Success!
1. The Lunatic Cafe (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter, #4)
2. Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)
3. Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3)
4. Bloody Bones (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #5)
5. Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed, #11)
6. One Foot in the Grave(Night Huntress, #2)
7. Devil's Due (Red Letter Days, #2)
Happy Reading,
~Tamara
