This was my first time reading Abby Jimenez and I really liked her story! I started to feel that The Happy Ever After Playlist was apart of a series about midway through when I could see there was a story I must have missed with other characters. Thankfully, I didn't need to read that to enjoy this gem. This story is set in an already established world, but the story of the couple is not reliant on a previous book. So if you are new to this author, like me, feel free to jump in here.
This was such a fun read. A solid feel good, "pick me up" type of book. I enjoyed these characters and plot so much that I finished in one day. The characters were so likable, even while doing dumb things for the sake of love. I rooted for this couple that basically fell fast and hard that met thanks to a dog. The romance of it all was giving me all the feels. Yea, it was cheesy, but what romance isn't? Of course, as you want with this type of reading, a HEA is a must and it delivers! So cute!
The narrators, Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon, were excellent. I'm glad there was both a man and woman chosen as it really elevated the experience. If you are an audiobook listener, I definitely recommend the audiobook.
