"Book Haul Tuesday” is my weekly post where I take a peek at the newly released fiction books of the week and post the books which I’ve added to my forever growing “To Be Read” list. I hope to introduce you to some interesting books and talented authors that you haven't read yet. Hopefully I'll motivate you to run out and pick up a new release or two for your shelf or reader!
In addition to my book recommendation(s), of course, I'll show off any books I've hauled in the last week. My book haul is all about sharing the books I've added to my lovely shelves, which can be physical or virtual.
What's in my book haul?
- Books I've purchase either in a store or online.
- ebooks I've purchase online.
- Books, ebooks and audiobooks I've borrow from my local library (hard copies and downloadable content)
- ARCs and review books (hard copies, ebooks and galleys).
- Books, ebooks and audiobooks that I've acquired through giveaways and as gifts.
Did you haul any books this past week? Do you have books that came out this week that you've added to your TBR list? If so, please share!
Happy Reading,
~Tamara
Book Haul
I won the YA series called, Landon Prep by Kimberly Reid. These books look so cute and fun. A little Gossip Girl-ish with a teen detective novel twist and a multicultural flare. Unlike GG, this series isn't laden with drugs and sex. I love this about these books.I thought my oldest niece would totally enjoy them as she's a tween and loves to read. I had the author autograph them to her. | I won The Good Boy, by Theresa Schwegel via an Shelf Awareness giveaway. It's a mystery/thriller about a eleven-year-old boy who has an adventure with his fathers K9 police dog. But while they're our running around, the dog's training kicks in and they run into a little trouble that may not end well for him or his father. This looks really interesting, maybe I'll get to this eventually. Who knows, :-) I may gift this one also. |
New Releases
Asylum, by Madeleine Roux (YA Horror) - Another horror book, these seem to be really popular right now. I picked up a galley from ARC Edelweiss. I heard it was somewhat similar to Miss Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, but I've started it and so far to me, the only similarities are the old photos scattered throughout the book. Nothing else. I actually had to put this book on hold to read something else. The Rise of the Hotel Dumort (The Bane Chronicles Part #5), by Cassandra Clare (YA Fantasy) - The Bane Chronicles, I must get to these soon! I adore Magnus in both the Mortal Instruments series and in the Infernal Devices series, so I'm looking forward to reading about him.. |
Here are my picks that are released today! Origin (Lux #4), by Jennifer L. Armentrout (YA Fantasy, Aliens) - Of course, I have to read this! I already picked this up on Kindle! Twilight Hunter (Execution Underground #1), by Kait Ballenger (Paranormal Romance) - My blog tour stop is Sept 3rd - Stop by to read my review and enter to win this book! Heart of Venom (Elemental Assassin #9), by Jennifer Estep (Urban Fantasy) - I'm working my way through this series, so duh! I've got to read this also! The Infinite Moment of Us, by Lauren Myracle (YA Contemporary) - This just looks really good to me. Based on the description, clearly there's a hint of romance along with the journey of self discovery . |
