Haunt is an anthology that is perfection for this time of year. Short stories that will creep you out at many degrees. There is a huge range of stories styles and flavors of horror, but they are all on theme with a form of a haunting. From a haunted house, to a sanitarium, and everything in between, Haunt will give you a few hours of Halloween fun. I don't want to give anything away so I'm going to keep this 100% spoiler free. With 180 pages and 9 different stories Haunt is a very quick and light read.
Many of the authors in this line up are new to me and it was a pleasure getting this introduction to so many awesome writers. That's one of the best things about a set of short stories by different authors. You get to discover new to you authors and stay in genre of what you feel like reading. The authors that contributed to this gem provide a good selection of types of haunts. Some are a bit sweeter in nature, some are a bit scarier, some are just everything that screams in the dark. I’m one that listens to the Lore and the NoSleep podcasts, so it takes a lot to creep me out. If you’re of that variety, you’ll find a story or two that will have your imagination running away with you. If you don’t care for things that are too scary, don’t worry, there are a few light weight stories as well.
