Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Every Friday, each host will have their own Feature Blog which allows them to show off more new blogs! It is a fun way to not only gain new followers but to meet and make new blogger friends! If you are new to Shelf Addiction, please leave a comment below with how you're following and I will make sure to visit & follow your blog back. :-) ♥ Question: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops? Answer: Mainly, I wish I would have used wordpress.org to build (thanks for the correction Lexxie!) my site. I paid for the site that I'm using now, so I figured I'd stick with it and not waste money. Slowly my this company has begun making improvements with making new features available, so it's getting better. They have a long way to go to be even close to what WordPress can provide, but it's a step in the right direction. Happy Reading, ~Tamara |

Wordpress.org is not a host, it's more like blogger, it's where you find your templates and plugins, and it sets up your database for you. I use bluehost for hosting, and wordpress.org to set up my blog so everybody else can see it...

Thanks for making that correction for me. "Host" was the incorrect word. I went ahead and corrected my statement. :-) You're right again, I did not use Blogger. I used weebly.com to build my site. I paid for a pro account so that I would have access to more features, but it's still not good enough for me. There are definitely things missing that I would like to add, but Weebly hasn't added those particular plug-ins it yet.

I've read that people prefer Wordpress or some other blog type thing over blogger, and I'm not sure why. I guess you can do more with it, and it has more features, but as a blog reader for a long time now, I actually prefer some of the features and the look of blogs that use blogger over all others.

I use blogger. If my blog gets bigger and I start to really become involved like I want to then I will look at getting my own domain, but for now and just beginning.. I'm doing the free stuff!
