Hi Fellow Book Bloggers!,
I've searched and searched and I've been unable to find an existing Michigan based or even regional active group for book bloggers. So I decided to start one! I'm in the beginning stages of forming a group, which I've named GLBBA: Great Lakes Book Blogger Alliance. All bloggers from the Great Lake states (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and New York) are welcome! Most of the events will be held in Michigan, so if you are willing to travel to Michigan we'll be happy to have you!
We'll have our own group website were we can post information and communicate with each other. We'll be scheduling and organizing annual meet-up events to get together and eat, drink, share ideas, play games and hold a few giveaways. All the standard bookish fun stuff. We can also look into having mini meet-ups biannually.
Once our membership starts to grow, we'll be working to get authors and publishers and other representatives from the industry to attend our annual event.
