October is the the month to be scared, so I tasted something that scared me and I survived! I keep seeing different types of Korean instant ramen noodles online everywhere, so I've been wanting to try it. I see lots of YouTubers eat these noodles and some say "it's not hot", and others seem like they are near death, so I didn't know what side of the coin I would land on. They are all supposed to be "fire" literally on your tongue. Turns out I'm on the edge of the coin, it was hotter than I'm used to, but I wasn't dying either.

Today I stopped at my favorite bubble tea place and I noticed a new shelf of items for sale... loaded up with few different flavors of Korean instant ramen noodles!!! I selected one flavor at random from my stash, and it was surprisingly tasty, but yes, after I ate it I felt a lingering mid level burn on my tongue and my nose started running! To the point where after few minutes, I chopped up some bell pepper pieces and dipped it in ranch to cool my tongue down. Guess what? It worked, thank goodness. So after eating a few veggies dipped in ranch dressing, I was normal again. I should let you know that I consider myself having a better than average tolerance for the spice heat level of my food, so if a little spice kills you, beware! I realized that could have drained a bit more water out before mixing in the sauce and powder, but that would have made it even more spicy!
