A Creepy Supernatural Thriller!
CBS Films announced that principal photography on the supernatural thriller WINCHESTER has commenced in Melbourne, Australia where the film will shoot before moving on to the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA. Starring Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren (The Queen, Eye in the Sky) and Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Zero Dark Thirty), the film is being directed by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig (Predestination) based on their screenplay.

The plot follows a psychologist who studies firearm heiress Sarah Winchester. Winchester was convinced that she was haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester rifle. After the sudden deaths of her husband and child, she threw herself 24/7 into the construction of the enormous mansion designed to keep the evil spirits at bay, according to the Winchester Mystery House website.

Lo’s dreamlike experience could not be more perfect until late one night when she witnesses an unspeakable act culminating with a woman being thrown overboard. Making matters worse, the following morning all of the passengers remain accounted for and the ship sails on as if nothing has happened.
