After reading Me Before You a while back, I was wondering if Moyes could do it again. I was more than pleased that this book was just as good. The characters were full of depth and transformation.
Reading Jennifer's story in the 1960's then jumping ahead to Ellie's story in 2003 was a great way to close the gaps and bring resolution for both Jennifer and Ellie. The romance was cute but it was pretty mild. I think the story of the romance was more predominant that the actual romance itself. |

The men in this book were a trip. Jennifer's husband was pretty dreadful. Ellie's lover a cheater and a user. These women aren't perfect either and they both have their own issues to overcome. These women, especially Jennifer, had serious lessons to learn to achieve their happiness. They have to learn what they want out of life and what they want out of their relationships. Will Jennifer finally find it? Will Ellie? You'll need to read the book to find out.
Another thing that I liked about The Last Letter From Your Lover is that there was a clear resolution for all of the plot lines. It was a satisfying and happy ending. My main issue with the story was that it was a slow start. I didn't really start getting into it until I passed 85-100 pages. The good thing is, once I reached that point, the story was well paced and the plot was forward moving and well thought out.
