Synopsis: Dating both a vampire and a werewolf isn't easy. But just to complicate Anita's already messy life, someone has put a price on her head. Love cannot save her this time, so she turns to Edward, hitman extraordinaire, for help. But finding the person behind the threat won't be easy, because as both a vampire hunter and zombie reanimator, Anita has made a lot of enemies-both human and otherwise.

Let me just apologize in advance. I feel like this review will end up being a slight rant on the characters.  Lol.  Anita is the most annoying heroine I've ever in countered. I'm nearly sick to death of her. She is the most flip floppy, unreasonable person ever!  Her logic is seriously skewed!. Only Anita could find herself both the Alpha female of a werewolf pack and an unmarked human servant both at the same time.  Anita's barely tolerable to me now.
What's with ladies always picking the vamp?! Why?! Ugh, I can't even take it. Jean Claude is so nasty to me.  And Richard, he's such a wimp in this book! What's going on with these two guys? Neither are looking very attractive at this rate. But I do still like Richard for Anita. Jean Claude is just "Eww".

I'm not sure where Ms.Hamilton is trying to take this series. It's just getting more and more outrageous, and not in a good way.  There is no character that's even likable at this point. Everyone's an idiot, except maybe Edward, and he's a self proclaimed sociopath. So, what does that tell you about these characters?

I do like how Ms.Hamilton is able to have so many things going on at once and tie everything together neatly.  The pace of the book is fast and consistent, which is always a good thing.  Other than my personal thoughts on Anita, the book is good. If you don't mind a ridiculous acting heroine, this may be your cup of tea.  ;-)

I will hang in there and listen to book 7.  I'm hoping that it's more to my liking. If I end up not being impressed with book 7, I may just have to stop there. There are too many good books out there to keep reading ones that I consider just "okay".

As always, the narrator, Kimberly Alexis, is spot on.

Happy Reading & Listening,
~Tamara

Oh, I really can't stand when I find a book where I like none of the characters. Why do authors do this to us? On top of that you are listening to the book which makes it even harder to connect to someone you wouldn't even like in real life. Great review!
