Hey friends,

Welcome to week two of my summer feature, the Summer of Indie Author Features!  Take advantage of this awesome event! This is a great opportunity to discover some books that may not have been on your radar before. Who knows, you could find you next favorite author or book!

This week meet Karen-Anne Stewart!  Find Karen-Anne on: Goodreads | Twitter | Facebook | Website/Blog

Be sure to enter the giveaway at the bottom of this post of Karen-Anne's book, Saving Rain!

Below is my spin on a typical Q&A. I like to mix in a few fun questions with the more typical ones. Just having fun getting to know the author behind the book!  Thank you Karen-Anne for taking the time to answer them all!

Happy Reading,
~Tamara
Can you tell us a little about yourself?  I am a new author and am quite new at this entire experience, so I'm learning as I go.  I'm from a small town and many would say that I am fairly shy.  I have always loved to read and create stories in my head, but the idea of becoming an author didn't strike me until one of my college courses.  We had a writing assignment to create a short story, and the professor suggested I submit my short story for publication, which really excited me.  I never submitted that short story.  Saving Rain: The First Novel in The Rain Trilogy is my first novel, and I fell in love with writing.  I am now beyond addicted!  I'm grateful for the family and friends who have supported me and for the people who have reviewed Saving Rain and allowed me on their blogs, thank you!

What do you do when you are not writing?  My first love is my family.  I'm a wife, mother, and I work full time, so I have a pretty full plate like most people do.  I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, hiking, reading, and traveling.

What book(s) are you reading right now?  I am currently reading The Sixes by Kate White.  I'm really enjoying it so far!

Physical books or e-reader? I am in love with my Kindle!  I do like physical books as well.  My mother swears she will never own a Nook or Kindle because she wants the feel of the physical book in her hand.  I love the ability to be able to choose a book that fits the mood I'm in, and  e-readers gives you that freedom with the touch of your fingertip.

Name a book that you've bought for the cover art. - I had to think about this one.  I don't think I've ever purchased a book just by its cover.  I'm a huge 'back of the book' reader, but the cover has helped to sway my decision more than once.

Hero or Villain?  I'm a hero kind of girl.  I love alpha male heroes with a sensitive side, I'm a true sucker for novels like these.  There have been some unforgettable villains out there as well.  James Patterson is my favorite author.  He does an AMAZING job putting the reader in the head of the hero and the villain.

What's your favorite book when you were a child?  Chronicles of Narnia is my favorite childhood book.  Both my parents read to me, and I have very fond memories of my father reading this book to me while I was tucked into bed.

Coke or Pepsi?  Coke, especially Cherry Coke!

Tell us what you are working on next. - I am currently working on After the Rain, the final novel in The Rain Trilogy.  I have become very attached to the characters in this trilogy, it's going to be bittersweet for me when I finish.  I also have a few other novel ideas I've been working on that I'm excited about.  I'm sticking with new adult contemporary romance for the time being.

Is there anything that you would like the readers to know about this book or you in general?  Saving Rain is a new adult contemporary romance with a dark side.  It is the beginning of a poignant story of abuse, human trafficking and beautiful, redeeming love.  I would like to express my gratitude to the readers!  I hope you enjoy Saving Rain!

Featured Book: Saving Rain: The First Novel in the Rain Trilogy
For Mature Audiences 18+

Synopsis: Raina has tried to forget her past, forget the pain, but when she finds herself staring straight into the fury blazing in her ex-boyfriend's eyes, her dark past comes rushing back. Furious with herself for actually having chosen someone like her father, she uses that anger to her advantage and fights for her life...and for her future that she prays will involve the man she can't seem to get out of her head. Kas is a natural leader, a fierce fighter, the type of man you send in when you need to get the job done. He is a courageous hero who is used to risking his own life to save others, but can he save the one who has captured his heart from her horrific past and the men who are hell-bent on destroying her? As Kas and Raina try to navigate through the twists and turns of a deviously intelligent human trafficking group, they find solace in each other's arms. Can they infiltrate the trafficker's tight ring, saving the innocent lives from imminent danger before it's too late?
