Movies | Upcoming Fall Book To Movie Adaptations (BTMA) and
Blu-Ray /DVD Releases

I love a good book to movie adaptation! Here are a few with release dates coming during this fall season that I'm especially looking forward to. I've read both books and I'm looking forward to reviewing these BTMA's. Check out the trailers! Are these on your list to see? Which books to you hope to see on the the big screen? I find that Nicholas Sparks books are turned into very good movies, for example both The Notebook and A Walk to Remember were just amazing and both made me cry (don't tell anyone). Actually, it seems as if the romance writer can't write a book without a movie version coming shortly after, will his new book See Me, follow suit?

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR: Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
(WALT DISNEY STUDIO HOME ENTERTAINMENT) Rated PG-13.
ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS: In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter. Directed by James Bobin, who brings his own unique vision to the spectacular world Tim Burton created on screen in 2010 with “Alice in Wonderland,” the film is written by Linda Woolverton based on characters created by Lewis Carroll and produced by Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd and Jennifer Todd and Tim Burton with John G. Scotti serving as executive producer. “Alice Through the Looking Glass” reunites the all-star cast from the worldwide blockbuster phenomenon, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall.
(WALT DISNEY STUDIO HOME ENTERTAINMENT) Rated PG.
