QUESTION: Book Vacay: Where is the best destination reading spot for you? (Where do you like to go to read other then your home)

Answer: The beach or by the pool (while on vacation) are the best spots for me to read. The runner up and my most used destination is my car!! I read almost every day during my lunch hour.  I like to escape to my car to get away from my desk and co-workers for a while.

This is my first photo bomb EVER! My nephew came over today, and while he was watching TV I totally just put one of my favorite books (Minion, by L.A. Banks) right next to him! I sat down and took the picture and he didn't even notice! ROFL!  The lighting wasn't perfect, but I did what I could!

Minion is the first book in the Vampire Huntress Legend series. It's totally underrated, yet one of the best UF series I've read!

Question: Share your favorite literary quote!

Answer: I like a lot of quotes, yet have no favorite! So instead I decided to post one that I saw recently that caught my eye.

Question: Activity: Spine Poetry. Create a line of poetry with your book spines (take a picture). Not feeling creative? Tell us about your favorite poem.

Answer: This is my first try at book spine poetry. I really had no clue where to start with it. So...excuse me if this one isn't exactly right.  Not to mention, I've never been into poetry. LOL.  I came up with this one because I was just staring at my book shelves wondering where to start and I noted that I seem to have a lot of books about cheating!

Question: Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?

Answer: I have broken up with a two series recently.  The Anita Blake series, which I stopped at book 7. And the Beautiful Creatures / Caster Chronicles series, which I stopped at book 2. 

I didn't officially post that I'd given up on them, but you should check out my last review of the books I'd last read in each series. They weren't very favorable.  

With so many awesome books out there, why force yourself to keep reading a series that's just so-so? Nope, I won't do it! Not me!

Question: Happy Mother’s Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?

Answer: I'm going to toally veer away from the answer most everyone has.  I had to really think about this. In many of the YA books, the parents aren't really the focus. Since they are always secondary, they seem to blend into the background most times.  Adult and New Adult sometimes have parents, but again, they are far and in between and not the focus. I went with moms from  two series that I really enjoy. One from an YA series and one from an adult series.  Both series are Urban Fantasy... surprise, surprise! LOL

Question: We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?

Answer: I attended the RT Convention last year in Chicago and I loved it! It's in Kansas City, MO this year, and sadly I can't attend.

Ultimately, I'd LOVE to to go BEA! To me it's like the mecca of readers conventions. It's the probably largest, busiest, most exciting! I love NYC and I love books, two things that make BEA perfect for me. In addition to all the amazing authors, they also have a Bloggers Conference, which I'd really like to attend.  Now, if only I manage to get there!  I'm crossing my fingers for next year.  

ALA is in Chicago this year, so I'm going to do more research on it. If it looks good to me, I may try attend ALA 2013!

Basically, I want to go to as many conventions as I can manage. What about you?
